Warrick headed to Bucks

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel is reporting that Hakim Warrick has agreed to a one year $3 million deal with the Bucks. The 6-foot-9 forward has played the past four seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies. He averaged 11.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in 82 games last season coming off the bench.

It was reported that a number of teams, including Charlotte, Cleveland and Philadelphia had expressed interest in him. With the loss of Richard Jefferson (trade) and Charlie Villanueva (free agency) Warrick will likely end up in a starting role for the Bucks.

Oberto gets offer from Wizards

NBA.com reports that former Spurs forward Fabricio Oberto is at home in Argentina, mulling over which NBA team he will play for this season. Oberto has fielded an offer from the Washington Wizards, who offered him their bi-annual exception of $1.99 million for next season on top of the $1.9 million Oberto is already guaranteed on his deal.

The Spurs traded Oberto to Milwaukee in June as part of the Richard Jefferson deal. Milwaukee then dealt Oberto to Detroit for Amir Johnson , and the Pistons released Oberto shortly thereafter.

Oberto is reportedly considering returning to the Spurs also, but NBA.com cited a league source as saying the Spurs are "looking in another direction."

Kidd to meet with Knicks on July 1

Unrestricted free agent point guard Jason Kidd will meet with New York Knicks officials on the first day of the free agent courting period, with the Knicks hoping to bring in the veteran for a roughly $5.6 million mid-level exception.

The New York Daily News reports that Kidd will meet with Knicks president Donnie Walsh and coach Mike D'Antoni , follwing through on his comments from earlier this year that he would strongly consider signing with the Knicks.

The Daily News said the Knicks would probably offer a one-year deal to the 36-year-old Kidd, who still has a home in New York from his years playing for the New Jersey Nets. The story further states that the Dallas Mavericks could easily top the money the Knicks have at their disposal for an offer to Kidd, so there is a chance that the financial terms won't shake out.

If the Knicks can't reach a deal with Kidd, they are said to be interested in making an offer to Milwaukee Bucks restricted free agent Ramon Sessions.

Report: Bucks weighing trade offer from Grizzlies

The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports that a potential trade between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Milwaukee Bucks is in the works, but there could be a hold-up on the Bucks' side.

The story said Memphis would like to send PG Mike Conley to Milwaukee in exchange for both Ramon Sessions and Joe Alexander. Milwaukee appears to be considering the deal, but sources believe they could be reluctant to part with Alexander. Some believe Memphis is more interested in Sessions anyway, so it remains to be seen whether Alexander remains part of the bargain -- and, if not, whether that would be a deal-breaker.
